我是今年五月才从武汉迁到福州来的，过去我从未见过榕树。第一次在福州见到榕树，就被这巨大的热带植物所吸引。

在我居住的院子里，就有一棵巨大的榕树。我可以经常仔细地欣赏她：粗壮的主干，好似一根擎天巨柱，把天都撑了起来，主干上长满了树枝，椭圆型的绿叶在风中摇曳着，将榕树那筋脉突兀的树干完全笼罩住了，从远处望去，他仿佛是一把遮天蔽日的巨伞。她的树枝上长出一条条门帘似的寄生根，这些寄生根会慢慢生长，最后钻进泥土里，渐渐长粗，把以前的主干包裹住，成为新的枝干，看上去，好像是这棵树上缠满了青藤。

榕树不仅能为人们遮风挡雨，带来一片清凉，她还能美化环境，为城市增添一道道绿色景观。福州的旅游观光线路中，还有去观赏榕树的项目咧！

大家非常呵护榕树，采取了许多措施来保护她。许多马路中间矗立着榕树，汽车看见她也绕道而行，不会轻易挪动她。即使偶尔特殊，政府部门也会十分重视，总是小心翼翼地把榕树移植到别处，决不会把她砍掉。正是因为人们都来保护这些榕树，所以福州才有那么多百岁以上的古老榕树伴随着我们。

我爱榕树，不仅爱她的美丽，她的壮观，更爱她那种不怕狂风暴雨的气魄：刮起台风来，有些大树被连根拔起，甚至有的房子被风掀倒，唯独榕树稳如泰山，这种巨大的力量来自她发达的根系。
